VXR -16
Digitizers convert hard-copy x-ray, CT, ultrasound, MRI and dose films to digital images that are electronically transmitted, viewed, and stored. The VXR-16 and the VXR-16 DosimetryPro feature VIDAR's leading-edge High Definition CCD (HD-CCDT) technology, which provides superior optical density range and delivers the highest diagnostic quality. They acquire images at 8K x 10K resolution with a 16-bit (analog to digital) converter and have an optical density range of 0.00-3.65. Geometric accuracy is better than 1% or 2 pixels, whichever is greater, in both axes.
The VXR-16 converts 16 bits of grayscale data to 12 bits and is used in conjunction with radiation treatment planning systems, allowing radiation oncologists to optimize the radiation dose, measure tumor volumes, and minimize potential radiation of surrounding tissue prior to the delivery of the prescribed radiation treatment. This high-quality image aids radiation oncology staff in the development of three-dimensional treatment plans for cancer patients undergoing radiation therapy.
The VXR-16 DosimetryPro delivers 16 bits of grayscale and 65,536 shades of gray - the most of any digitizer on the market. This enhanced grayscale capability, which is critical for advanced applications such as electron dosimetry and matchline dosimetry, provides radiation physicists and radiation oncologists with consistent high-resolution, reproducible analyses of radiation treatment beams used for cancer therapy.
